Wuyi Mountain Red Mushroom


Called the “Oriental Truffle” in China, this is a tasty, delicious gourmet mushroom. These red mushrooms are 100% wild and are collected from remote forests of Wuyi Mountain in Southern China. Wuyi Red Mushroms are extremely rare. They cannot be cultivated. They come only from a small mountainous region in Southern China. Wuyi Red Mushrooms have been a treasured gift in China for over a thousand years. This mushroom is a powerful, healthful, completely non-toxic edible blood tonic. “Men are governed by Qi, women are governed by blood.” This is a reliable blood tonic. It is also regarded as a potent Qi tonic. Removes toxicity and “moves water.” Brews a beautiful red broth.*

Ingredients: Wild Wuyi Red Mushroom (Russula lepida Fr.)


Usage: One mushroom makes a cup of tonic tea, and a few mushrooms make a soup for a few people. For maximum flavor, soak several mushrooms for a few minutes, until soft, then add to soup that is nearly ready to serve. To use as a component of a vegetable dish, soak the mushrooms for a few minutes until soft then add to stir-fry or steamed vegetable mix. Excellent after delivery. Often combined with tofu, oyster and squid.
