Wen Dan Tang

This formula is used in helping insomnia and nervous tension symptomatic of a weakened physical condition. It is especially satisfactory in improvement of weakness following gastroptosis (abnormal downward displacement of the stomach). The ""Er-chen-tang (Pinellia, Citrus, Poria, Zingiber and Glycyrrhiza)"" contained in the formula dispels stagnant fluids in the stomach. Bambusa oldhami eliminates internal heat in the stomach (stomach discomfort or ache, burning in the epigastrium, acid reflux, gum swelling, pain, or bleeding, constipation) and also relieves pain. Citrus autantium relieves gastric distention in the upper GI tract and promotes mental stability. When Zizyphus and Coptis are added to this formula, its sedative effect is even greater. Based on the above information, this formula should principally be used to help insomnia, nervousness, heart palpitation, stagnation of vital energy and gastric malfunction

Usage

Take 3-4 capsules each time, 3 times a day before or after meals, or as directed by your herbalist/practitioner.
