Product Description

THE Flower

Chrysanthemum tea is the perfect summer tea because it helps you stay cool.

Many Americans are unaware of the fact that some herbs can help the body stay cool in warm weather (some other herbs can help you stay warm in cold weather, too). Unlike a cold drink that cools you down temporarily by physically reducing the body temperature, herbs that “relieves heat”, such as Chrysanthemum, are not necessarily cold to the touch. They help finetune your body’s internal cooling system and thereby its internal thermal balance. They help you stay cool longer and more effectively.

Chrysanthemum enters the Lungs channel. In TCM, the Lungs are said to "govern the skin" which means they play a key role in the health and function of the skin. The Lungs are thought to control the opening and closing of pores, which regulates sweating and the overall hydration of the skin.

Chrysanthemum is one of most popular cooling herbs in the world. It is a great herb for athletes who need to control their body heat while exercising or playing a sport.

Chrysanthemum Flower is renowned for promoting clear, beautiful skin.

Clearing heat and toxins from the skin

In TCM, many skin issues are often seen as manifestations of internal 'heat' and 'toxins.' Cooling herbs entering the Lungs channel are believed to help clear this internal heat and thereby “clear the skin.” Chrysanthemum is considered to have a detoxifying effect on the skin.

Moistening the skin

In addition to clearing heat, many herbs that enter the Lung channel are also said to have a moistening effect. This is important because many skin conditions, especially those with heat, can lead to dryness and flaking of the skin.

The Lungs, in TCM theory, are closely related to body fluids and are said to "govern the dispersion and descending of body fluids." Thus, herbs such as Chrysanthemum that enter the Lung channel and have a moistening effect are often used to nourish the skin through the Lungs’ function of distributing fluids.

Clearing the eyes and calming the Liver

Chrysanthemum Flower helps maintain the yin (moistness and coolness) of the eyes even when the eyes are stressed from excessive use such as staring at computer screens, TV and driving. It is used by millions of people in Asia to brighten dull eyes, relieve dry eyes, relieve eye strain and reduce eye irritation.

It enters the Liver channel. According to TCM theory, the Liver channel is closely connected with the health of the eyes. Chrysanthemum is traditionally used to address eye problems that are due to Liver Heat or Wind-Heat.

Calming the mind

Chrysanthemum is also used in Asia to clear the mind. For mental workers and students, it can help prevent or relieve stress and tension of the mind caused by excessive thinking, reading, and computer work.

It is 100% caffeine free therefore can be consumed during the day or in the evening.
