Safety Steps We Are Taking

Dragon Herbs retails stores will remain open to serve customers at the main herbal counter where our Senior Herbalists are stationed. This will provide those clients who enjoy or require personal guidance from a Senior Herbalist an opportunity to have that in-person experience.

Even during the coronavirus full shutdown in Wuhan, herb shops remained open to serve the city. It should be noted that millions of people availed themselves of Chinese herbs during this period of time. The herb shops developed specific measures for limiting potential exposure of the employees and of patrons. We are implementing similar measures in order to remain open, albeit in a more limited capacity.

We are sad to announce that due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we have decided it is best that we close all food and beverage service operations and reduce the footprint of both of our stores. The Elixir Bars and the majority of the retail space are now closed. This is for everyone's safety. The Elixir Bars will be up and running again when it is safe to do so.

We are implementing rational retail protocols in order to protect you and our employees.

If you do wish to visit one of our stores, please observe the following temporary rules:

  1. Please do not request any beverage or food items, they are not available.
  2. We will not be accepting cash.
  3. We will not be providing restrooms to the public. Not even to paying customers.
  4. There will be no Wi-Fi for customers at this time.
  5. There will be no outdoor seating at this time.
  6. There will be no trash cans for customers.
  7. Please do not come to the stores if you are coughing, sneezing, have sudden shortness of breath or are experiencing diarrhea. Our call center with Senior Herbalists on duty during normal working hours, and all of our dragonherbs.com online services are fully operational, including chat, ordering, timely shipping and customer service.
  8. Our herbalists will be wearing masks – this is for everyone’s protection. They are not infected or show symptoms of any condition. You should wear a medical grade mask. We offer superior grade re-usable medical masks at the entrance to the store for your purchase.

  

Dragon Herbs Coronavirus Status Report

No Dragon Herbs employee or any of their family members have come down with the Coronavirus in China, Korea or America.

Dragon Herbs is implementing draconian safety measures at our offices, retail stores and warehouses. Our concern is not with Dragon Herbs products, but with community spread here at home. We are protecting our employees with major changes to our scheduling and logistics. We are protecting our customers by practicing robust safety procedures from start to finish.

  

Product Security

Dragon Herbs maintains four production facilities in China. All follow extremely strict US GMP regulations and standards under all circumstance irrespective of the Coronavirus situation. We also adhere to all Chinese government safety regulations. We ceased production at all of these facilities in December 2019. None of our facilities are in highly vulnerable localities, and none are in Wuhan City or Hubei Provence. We did not use our facilities or do any production until the government certified it safe to do so in the past week. Here are the safety procedures our facilities are diligently practicing in addition to all standard GMP practices:

  1. Set up and implement the strict and precise plan for epidemic prevention per the government's emergency regulations.
  2. All employees are required to do temperature measuring and disinfection before entering the factories.
  3. All people who traveled while the factories were shut were tested before returning to work, using the official COVID-19 Nucleic Acid Test Kit. In the US, Coronavirus testing with a COVID-19 Nucleic Acid Test kit has not been broadly available, and factory workers in the US are not currently in line for testing.
  4. All staff are required to wear protective face masks and gloves while working and commuting.
  5. All employees are required to be fully disinfected before working.
  6. All equipment, surfaces, working areas, gathering areas and ventilators are disinfected twice daily, by specialists before and after work, and additionally before and after any use.
  7. Scheduling and employee work space have been optimized to reduce grouping.
  8. All employees are disinfected before dining. The dining time is staggered, the utensils are separated, seating separately with the distance of more than 2 meters. The employees disinfect before returning to work.
  9. Bathrooms are disinfected with bleach multiple times daily.
  10. Temperature measuring is required upon leaving the campus.
  11. People from outside the campus are required to register, their temperature is measured and they are disinfected. Disinfectant machines have been set up at the gate of the company. Unrelated people are not allowed into the factories or offices.
  12. Factory specialists are monitoring any potential coughing, sneezing, fever or diarrhea cases and will follow government's instruction to ensure early observation, early isolation and early diagnosis. No cases have yet occurred.
  13. Dragon Herbs is implementing all these precautionary procedures in our US warehouses and retail locations, except for COVID-19 Nucleic Acid testing, which is not yet available in the US.

No coronavirus has been detected anywhere in the world in or on products produced in China or elsewhere during this epidemic. Dragon Herbs produces extracts in its Chinese and other overseas factories, but it does all finishing work in the United States in US GMP certified facilities. This includes testing, encapsulation, bottling and other packaging, and all point of sale processes. This takes several weeks to months to accomplish.
